GKSD Healthcare Management and Consulting is working with the new General Healthcare Authority of Port Said Governorate (Egypt) on a long-term programme (2021-2024) to build the capabilities of the healthcare workforce. The programme includes multiple areas of intervention:

• Healthcare Workforce capabilities building through training and education: the workstream includes training programmes to upskill the healthcare professionals (nurses, doctors, surgeons, administrative staff) in subspecialties and advanced care through blended training strategies. We delivered:
  • 9 online programmes training up to 200 professionals in 3 months
  • 20 immersion training programmes for Egyptian doctors in Italian healthcare facilities for one month
  • 10 proctorship training programmes with San Donato Group clinical experts training on-the job in Port Said hospitals
• Advanced Training Centre for the Health workforce In Port Said – development of an advanced training centre for the workforce of the governorate. The centre relies on a partnership among the key stakeholders of the healthcare system (University, General Health Authority, Ministry of Health and Population)
• Affiliation and partnership between Port Said Medical School and UniSR that focuses on exchanges of students and faculty, development of joint training programmes and joint research activity
